On this episode of inFocus, I’m joined by author and activist Seth Klein. Last year, Seth’s book A Good War: Mobilizing Canada for the Climate Emergency was published ECW Press. In it, he argues that in order to meet the climate crisis head-on, Canada will need to mobilize as it did during World War II.
Sharing strategies used during the war, he shows that the change and effort needed to tackle the climate crisis can also create jobs and reduce inequality.
I had the pleasure of working with Seth on an important aspect of the book – an exclusive, custom public opinion survey exploring public attitudes and opinions about climate change and what Canadians are willing to do to confront it.
On the podcast, we spoke about his book, public opinion and climate change in Canada, and what the pandemic has taught us about our ability to mobilize and work together to address a crisis collectively.
You can purchase his book here, I highly recommend it: https://www.mcnallyrobinson.com/9781770415454/seth-klein/a-good-war
